Multicultural Identity Casting was founded in 2011 by Mijean Rochus and Marc Vanderbiesen. We represent a selective group of male and female models.
Co-founder Mijean Rochus was discovered as a model when he was 18 years old. With more than 10 years of modeling experience to his name Mijean went to be a tv reporter journalist before coming back to his first passion. A lot of aspiring models ask Mijean for advice with their runway and posing skills.
He coached models to the title of Mister Chocolat Caramel Belgium and mentored Mister Black Belgium 2016 Abu Bakar. One of his pupils won the best walk at a modeling contest in Belgium and he coached models who participated in the Kask fashion show in Gent, Brussels Fashion Days with fashion house Natan, models did castings for La redoute & Label M haircare line in the UK, one model worked for Abercrombie&Fitch and did the lookbooks for fashion retailor Mientus in Berlin and Gil Galway in Brussels. Model Abu Bakar has now become a board member of MI Casting Models.
Mijean has produceed with his team editorials with aspiring models. MI Casting Models featured in Vanity Teen magazine in Spane, Stell Magazine Australia and Imago magazine in Belgium. He’s also contributor photographer for Dapper Tapper Magazine Mexico and owner of Miro_4_you magazine.
His journey hasn’t been easy and the color of his skin has never defined his path.
MI Castingmodels management focus on scouting and coaching models for the modeling industry. We want to contribute to more equal opportunities for people with a multicultural identity. Special attention is payed to character and personality of the model as these are very important for modelling in the fashion world.
